Hiya,

I'm Anarchycox!

So this is incredibly cheesy but it is something I tell my students, and my son, and something I utterly believe and I figure a good way to know me.

I believe that anytime we engage in a creative act, make something creative no matter the form it is an act of bravery and we make the world a better place with it.

I write fanfic, mostly Kingsman but will do some MCU/AoS, Bioware stuff, and kinda itching to try Knives Out fic.

I also crochet, spin yarn, sew, cross stitch, embroider, muck about with polymer clay, make jewelry.

I have a good life with incredible friends made through fandom, married to a stupidly awesome giant nerd professor, and we have a weird son and a weirder cat. These things sustain me since I live an hour past the middle of nowhere.

My username Anarchycox is because way back when my husband thought that would be a good roller derby girl name for me.
Day 2 - Rec 3 Fics You Did Not Create

Okay, a list of three is crazy hard but here I go:

1. The Coronach Series by Elrhiarhodan
Kingsman and tentacles and monsters makes me a happy reader. I adore aus in general and I think that Kingsman lends itself particularly well to sci-fi/fantasy and a bit of horror. Consentacles can be a hard thing to get right and this author does them well.

2. The Mating Dance of Wolf and Fox by epithalamium
00Q. So this story is that perfect blend of crack and feels and I cannot count how many times I have read it as a pick me up. It is that right mix of silly and authentic that will just make you smile as you read.

3. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Wanks by abstractconcept
Capsicoul. So people who know me know I can ship Phil Coulson with everyone except 3 people. And a fav is the rarer pair of Coulson/Captain America. I like this story. It starts with some embarrassment but moves quickly past it and the way it develops their relationship is soft but serious and shows the two men growing together and it just is a story that makes me happy.

 Day 1

Talk about your Happy Place - things that give you joy, keep you calm or sane

Creation

My happy place is really two things hanging with my guys (husband, 5 year old, and our idiot cat). That makes me happy and fills my belief that the world fundamentally is a good place.

But my other happy place the one that offers personal fulfillment is in creation. I don't believe that idle hands are the devil's playthings, but...I like my hands to be busy. And that means a lot of crafting - crocheting, sewing, cross stich, polymer clay bead, spinning yarn, and embroidery. And it also means writing. Our son knows and thinks this is natural that parents need creative time to feel good about themselves. That when Mommy and Daddy are being creative it is their time, and he has creative time too.

I write as much as time allows, and I write fanfic. I love fandom but not really for fandom itself but for the people I meet and the stories we tell. My happy place is worldbuilding, twisting characters we know and love into insane and different circumstances but keeping them who they are. And I love bringing outside OCs into worlds to watch these characters and show their strengths and weaknesses and have people utterly believe the OC could fit in this space. It is the best sandbox ever.
