Fanfic comments

 In a less than 24 hour period I had someone write me poetry based on my Demon Verse series, and someone leave an incredibly dickish comment on my regency merlahad fic.

I will never understand leaving asshole comments on fanfic. ever. 

I have a thick skin and it just enraged me, but what if I was a new writer, or one who didn't respond with either rage or a shrug, you could kill it for the person. Telling someone "love the plot, shame about your writing" could ruin a writer forever.

Don't be that person.

yeah, I'm lucky and don't get a lot, but I know for many they are devastating. I may have been a wee bit petty and responded with, "You should smile more. You'd be so much prettier if you smiled."
