Ask me up to three questions.
1. What made you start writing fanfic?
2. Which of your own fanfics have you reread the most?
3. Describe the differences between your first fanfic and your most recent fanfic.
4. Do you think your style has changed over time? How so?
5. You've posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you'd written it?
6. Name three stories you found easy to write.
7. Name three stories you found difficult to write.
8. What's your ratio of hits to kudos?
9. What do your fic bookmarks say about you?
10. What's a theme that keeps coming up in your writing?
11. What kind of relationships are you most interested in writing?
12. For E-rated fic, what are some things your characters keep doing?
13. Name three favorite characters to write.
14. You're applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio?
15. Question of your choice!

Date: 2019-02-18 10:28 pm (UTC)Sheer utter boredom. When we moved out west our stuff got delayed and I had been a dumbass and packed my ereader charge cord in the truck not with our stuff, and we didn't have mail yet to get a library card. I was online and discovered fanfic and read a lot. Like a lot a lot. And then I had an idea, a story. I had written so many stories as a teen, but had stopped, uni had burned writing out of me. And I ended up pregnant, and had time and thought why not try to write again? And here we are.
3. "Describe the difference between your first fanfic and your latest."
Jesus my first fic is a great idea and just garbage in terms of formatting. Like holy shit I had forgotten all the rules of writing, but if I had focused on that or edited, I would have convinced myself not to write. But there is different dialogue in the same paragraph, just appalling control of pov and tense, it is such a mess. I have control and form a lot better now.
14. "You're applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio?"
Oooh boy, hard question. This question has me actually picking against personal favourites in a couple instances, because I don't know that they would win me the award. So the five are my merlahad Went Down to the River and Prayed, my MCU Hulkeye fic Green Looks Better on You, my merwin Ladyhawke AU the Despair of Sunsets, my merwin BDSM fic Hands are Bound, and a small cheat but any pet pov chapter from Wrapped in Wool.
thank you for asking.
